Robert L. Schneider, DDS, MS
Dr. Schneider works at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Institute of Hospital Dentistry, Division of Prosthodontics and holds the rank of Professor, where he has a full time private practice. He received his DDS from the University of Southern California and practiced general dentistry in Arizona for five years before earning his MS and Certificate in prosthodontics from the University of Iowa in 1983.
He has published extensively in the prosthodontic literature and is very active in many prosthodontic and dental laboratory organizations. Additionally he lectures nationally and internationally on many subjects addressing the clinical and laboratory phases of fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics. Dr. Schneider is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists, Past President of the American Prosthodontic Society and also serves as the Executive Director of the American Prosthodontic Society. He is a Fellow in the International Team for Implantology and the Academy of Osseointegration.
He treats patients that are missing teeth utilizing crowns, bridges, partial and complete dentures, frequently in combination with dental implant therapy. He is very experienced in treating patients requiring prostheses with acquired and congenital oral defects.
